In Australia and New Zealand, you don't have to finish Stripe verification before selling - publish your paid event and start taking bookings straight away. Here's how it works while you're still verifying:
For you. Payments from your customers are held securely by Bix rather than paid out. Once your Stripe verification completes, the held funds are released to your account and payouts run as normal. Early sales are capped at a modest amount (typically $300) until you're verified - Bix shows your progress and warns you as you approach the limit, and you can't publish a ticket priced above the remaining cap.
The deadline. Once you take your first payment, you have 7 days to complete verification. Bix reminds you by email as the deadline approaches. If verification isn't completed in time, all held payments are automatically refunded to your customers and they're notified - so no one's money is ever stranded.
For your customers. Nothing changes at checkout - they pay by card as normal and receive their tickets straight away. If a refund is ever triggered by an expired deadline, it happens automatically.
To complete verification at any time, head to Settings → Payments - see Complete Stripe verification.
