The scanner turns any phone into a ticket checker. Point the camera at an attendee's QR code and Bix checks them in on the spot - no extra hardware, no app to install.
From Manage Event, open Scanner (or pick the event from the Scan menu in the sidebar).
Select Start camera and point it at the ticket's QR code.
Confirm the party size and select Check in. For group bookings, tick the people arriving now and admit them together.
Made a mistake? Select Undo check-in.
No QR code handy? Use Manual lookup to search attendees by name instead.
The scanner also flags anything worth knowing at the door:
Outstanding balance - you'll see the amount owing and can choose Admit anyway or Don't admit.
Cancelled or refunded bookings - clearly marked so they aren't waved through.
Wrong session - if someone's booked for a different time today, Bix offers to check them in to their correct session instead.
If you lose signal, lookups keep working, but check-ins pause until you're back online.
The scanner is always available for your event. Check-in controls on the Attendance page open 24 hours before the start and stay open afterwards, so you can adjust attendance after the fact.
